Earlier today Hasbro held a Q&A with several online venues including Ben's World of Transformers. At the very end of this session it was revealed that there would be a fifth wave of "Kingdom", the final chapter in the War for Cybertron story. One of the figures in this line? Blaster! Fans have been wanting Soundwave's Autobot adversary for years now and this figure represents the first original sculpt for the character in decades. Some factoids from the session about Blaster:
- "Kingdom" Wave 5 will be due out on January 1, 2022.
- Wave 5 is a mass release (meaning on shelf and via online stores) BUT Pulse will not offer pre-orders on them.
- Blaster is Voyager Class.
- Blaster includes Eject and a rifle.
- This figure is NOT a retool/redeco of Soundwave. It is all new tooling.
- Blaster's chest can pop open by pressing one of his buttons.
