"The Transformers" was a success and the line expanded in 1985. This year featured several new figures alongside redecos and retools of figures from the previous year. This year also introduced heat sensitive "rub signs" which were used to tell "authentic" Transformers from "knock offs". The 1984 series of figures was also released this year with "rub signs" instead of just plain symbol stickers. Special thanks to the TF Wiki from which this listing was referenced.
