Generation One

Earlier today, Takara Tomy posted news via Twitter/X that the next Missing Link figure would be none other than Soundwave!  This is welcome news as Decepticon representation in the line has been rather sparse.   Now Takara Tomy Mall has posted listings for both versions of Soundwave.  One is based on the G1 action figure while the other is based on the animation.  Each features a different cassettetron partner.  The G1 toy based version comes with the first official Transformers ve

Hasbro has passed on a mysterious message as part of the current The Transformers: The Movie Apology Tour.  The message is written in Cybertronian and translates to:

"As One Journey Ends
Another Begins"

What does this mean?  Well, one clue is the "Fathom" logo which ties this to the upcoming 40th Anniversary screenings of the 1986 film at theaters.  Maybe something will be shown during those screenings?  Time will tell!

Earlier today, Hasbro revealed an upcoming set of Studio Series figures: the Rainmakers with Sunstorm!  The Rainmakers were introduced in the G1 episode "Divide & Conquer" and Sunstorm was inspired by a background Decepticon in "More than Meets the Eye Part 1" and would later show up as a clone of Starscream in the Dreamwave comics.  Previously a three pack of the Rainmakers was made for Siege in 2019, but Sunstorm has not been available as a figure for quite some time.
