On April 27, 2021 PBS Newshour aired a segment about the emerging Cicada population in the United States. The segment "Cicada season: What to expect from the coming brood" is pretty standard fare at first (but fun if you are into nature). Towards the latter half of the segment, Chris Simon from the University of Connecticut presents some Cicada themed merchandise including Beast Wars Cicadacon! The aerial member of the Tripredacus team pops up around the 4:36 mark and Simon even explains he is a Transformers figure. It is a fun and unexpected moment that I really got a kick out of.
