Very sad news this morning. Derrick J. Wyatt has passed away. Artist Joshua Perez shared this news via Twitter yesterday. No details were given other than that his death was earlier this month.
Wyatt was a well known figure among Transformers fans for his work on Transformers Animated and his numerous appearances at fan events. He was not just an art director on Animated, he was also a huge fan so the job was a dream come true for him and it is reflected in the series. Wyatt also worked on other shows including Ben 10, Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated and Mucha Lucha.
Ben's World of Transformers offers its deepest condolences to Derrick's family and friends.
