Pre-orders went up today in Japan for a huge assortment of Takara Tomy's "Beast Awakening" (aka "Rise of the Beasts") offerings.  Thanks to the listings, we now have lots of additional images of previously revealed figures to enjoy!  This includes the Battle Master assortment featuring Cheetor, Rhinox and Skullcruncher as mini-figures that transform into weapons!  Below I've pasted the product info (via Google Translate) and mirrored the images from Amazon Japan.  The Beast Weap

About a week and a half ago it was announced that Hasbro would be releasing several Rise of the Beasts figures under the Target exclusive Buzzworthy Bumblebee line.  One of these figures was Scorponok, partnered with a small scorpion Battle Master style figure named Sandspear.  In Japan however, this figure will be a Toys 'R' Us exclusive.  Thanks to its official listing, we have official information and new images (including modes not shown by Hasbro!).  Check out the info and pics below (with some help from Google Translate

Included in today's Takara Tomy Rise of the Beasts/Beast Awakening updates are reveals of the "Kurutto Change" Bumblebee and Nightbird.  These appear to be a new type of auto-transforming figure possibly featuring a rubber band piece that is connected throughout the figure.  According to JapanDict the term means "turning around, spinning around, curling up" (UPDATE: Fellow fan Mark H.

The newly published Takara Tomy Rise of the Beasts (aka Beast Awakening) site has posted images and a video showing off the upcoming 3-Step Changer (aka "Pa! Pa! Pa!" according to Google Translate) Optimus Primal and Optimus Prime toys.  The Optimus Prime toy was already released as part of the Cyberverse line (though many fans figured out it was a Rise of the Beasts toy pretty quickly).

Takara Tomy has launched its official Rise of the Beasts site!  Included with this launch is a page featuring character models from the film.  This is some of the clearest imagery we have seen of what the characters will look like on film so far.  I have mirrored the images in the gallery below.  Enjoy!
