A listing on Toys 'R' Us Hong Kong has gone up for the first (semi-officially revealed) Buzzworthy Bumblebee set under the Rise of the Beasts banner. The Russian retail site Wildberries has posted a listing for a Rise of the Beasts notebook featuring an image of Optimus Prime on the front and what looks like ancient carvings of animals on the back. The Optimus Prime is essentially a version of the Optimus Prime we saw in the Bumblebee movie, which makes sense since this is a sequel to that film. More interesting is the "carving" which features several animals that represent classic Beast Wars characters.
With the delay of Rise of the Beasts into 2023, news has been a bit quiet on the movie front lately. Today however, Paramount+ announced via Twitter the plans for the upcoming theatrical films.
Rise of the Beasts will be released in 2023 and serves as the first film of a new trilogy. Meanwhile, a CG animated film will be released in theaters in 2024. Check out the Tweet embedded below.
