With all the drama of the last year, it would be easy to forget (at least for a moment) that one of the largest Transformers figures ever produced is going to be shipping this year. HasLab Unicron was funded and went into production in 2020 and now thanks to online retailer Robotkingdom we now have a look at the boxes for the Dark God of the Transformers universe. Check out the photos below!
The highly anticipated Studio Series 86 has begun hitting retail. These figures represent characters from the 1986 animated film The Transformers: The Movie and will help bolster the Generations collections of fans everywhere! Today I kick off my reviews of these figures with a look at Hot Rod including a gallery of 50+ images!

BotBots Transformers roared onto the scene in 2018 with much fanfare. They had a heavy presence at Toy Fair two years in a row and they have been licensed for books and apparel. Many fans warmly embraced this unusual and cute addition to the Transformers brand, but in 2020 the line seemed to have come to a halt. The fifth series of figures was not released in anywhere near the same numbers and even more confusing, they came out at the same time with series four before quickly vanishing from toy store shelves.
Starting early January 2021 Transformers fans in the U.S. began to find some curious non-transforming Transformers "Zōteki" figures at Target. Created by Jazwares, the Zōteki figures feature several figures with interlocking bases that come together to create a battle scene. Interestingly, Jazwares makes no mention of this Transformers set on their site.
Around the time The Last Knight was preparing to roar into theaters, Paramount commissioned a "writer's room" to put together ideas for potential live action Transformers films to continue the successful franchise. One of the concepts that came out of that room was a Beast Wars themed movie that was never produced. Thanks to artist Rob Wiggins however, we now have a look at a bit of what might have been via renders of concept art for a big screen Cheetor!

Fellow fan Michael Caffrey has posted images of an insane find on the TRANSFORMERS ADDICTS! group on Facebook. The photos show what appear to be the original "Birthday Party" costumes of G1 Jazz and Thundercracker. These were likely rentals used for kid's birthday parties. You can see the costumes in the commercial below:
