With the success of "Beast Wars", Kay Bee Toys commissioned a small line of exclusive Transformers based on vehicles. Using a mix of previously unreleased sculpts and former European exclusive figures, "Machine Wars" was born.
In 1997, a two pack featuring new Beast Wars characters was released at the Botcon fan convention. The set included Fractyl (a Terrorsaur redeco) and Packrat (a Rattrap redeco). This pair came in a beautiful box featuring artwork by long time Transformers artist Andrew Wildman. I have now restored the review of this set with updated comments and brand new photos. Check it out here!

Snarl is one of the 1997 release regular Beast Wars figures. It is a definite attempt at trying a slightly different kind of transformation while adding in an action "gimmick". To a degree it doesn't work but to another degree it is obvious some nice effort went into this design.
Retrax is one of the deluxe releases of the 1997 Beast Wars Transformers line. This figure relies on a gimmick that more or less works, and has become a subject of much debate amongst Transformers fans. This is purely my opinion of this toy, everyone is free to have their own.
Quickstrike is one of the regular sized Beast Wars Transformers Fuzors of 1998. This toy introduces new twists (literally and figuratively) in transformation scheme in a regular sized toy.
