Beast Machines

Night Viper is one of the mid-2000 basic Beast Machines Transformers releases. Rather than another four legged (or six legged) critter, Night Viper adds a snake into the Maximal mix. Many speculated that the Japanese Beast Wars Neo toy Cohrada would be repainted and released as part of Beast Machines, but fans were pleasantly surprised to see that Night Viper is a whole new mold.

Mirage is one of the new constructs serving as an experiment in Vehicon technology. Bringing a fast, sleek ground vehicle to the ranks of the Vehicons, Mirage is a nice basic level toy, and a neat addition to any Transformers collection.

Jetstorm is one of the Vehicon Generals. The leader of the Aero Drones, Jetstorm proves to be one of the coolest vehicular Transformers to come around in a while. One of the hopes of the Beast Machines designers was to incorporate as much "personality" in the Beast Machines toys as possible. This toy is a perfect example of that concept.

Longhorn is a part of the second line of basic Beast Machines toys. With quality harking back to the basics of the Beast Wars line, this toy offers a much better Maximal basic level toy than his predecessor, Buzzsaw.

In 2000 Hasbro released one of the most audacious Transformers lines ever released - Beast Machines.  The show and toys were controversial at the time and to this day they remain some of the most unique and far out designs ever introduced to the Transformers toy line.  I have begun restoration of my reviews of these figures along with new photos!  To kick this off, I have restored three reviews:

Hammerstrike is the first Maximal released as part of the Beast Machines Transformers: Battle for the Spark line, signalling Beast Machines' second year on toy store shelves. For much of the toys in this line, the new "gimmick" is some action feature activated by the toy's Spark Crystal.

Geckobot is a basic Beast Machines Transformers toy. One of the mid-year releases, Geckobot is one weird toy but a welcome addition to your Maximal toy ranks.
