In 1984, the world was introduced to one of the most enduring and fantastic toy lines in recent history. "The Transformers" would go on to inspire new continuities and hundreds of new characters over the years, but at their core has been the source material from the first few years of the line known as: Generation One. Over the years, many of these figures have been reissued in Japan and the United States. To celebrate these reissues and expand upon them, Takara Tomy launched a line of toys known as "Transformers Encore".
