Beast Mode: Wild Boar
Function: Cybertron Stormtrooper
Once Randy sets his heart on something he plunges at it headlong, turning for his target and charging it recklessly with amazing power. He is highly patient and honest, yet with his rather serious personality he is unable to feel at home in a group, and is now a freelance Cybertron, acting as a soldier for hire. His only firepower is his Charge Buster weapon.

Randy is a repaint of the original Beast Wars Transformers toy Razorbeast. This review will cover the changes made to the toy. For a more detailed review of the toy, please read Razorbeast's review.
Randy's primary color is gold. His teeth are white and beast mode eyes are orange. The hair on top of Randy's head is dark brown. The same dark brown is used for the hooves. The mechanism which activates the spring loaded transformation (which starts at the back and leads to the tail) is off white. This color scheme may not be very realistic, but it does look great. The metallic gold really brings out the details on Randy's beast mode body, including the ridges on his snout.
Randy's robot mode carries over the same colors from the beast mode, but the off white color appears on his upper arms, weapon barrels, waist and upper legs. His robot head is a combination of gold and silver with orange eyes. The metallic gold was a great choice since it helps make the mechanical parts look more realistic. Behind his arms on the sides of the beast mode are many details such as tubes. The orange eyes against the silver and gold robot head are very striking, making the eyes look like they are glowing.
Randy is a cool repaint of Razorbeast. At the time of the writing of this review, both are pretty much expensive to obtain. You may find good deals on ebay now and then. B+
Additional Notes (12/15/13):
Sadly, many years after my initial review I found that Randy suffered from the infamous "Gold Plastic Syndrome". Since the figure is mostly made of gold plastic pieces cracked and broke apart as I transformed it (hence the rubber band holding his weapon together). Sadly I'd have to recommend not getting one of these and just going with a Razorbeast instead. It's not hard to find Randy per se but it's annoying to spend money on something like this and have it break so easily.
