Toy News: First clear photos of the Movie "Studio Series" Bumblebee

For months now blurry pictures and posts about something referred to as the "Studio Series" have been popping up online. This new sub-line of Transformers figures appeared to be a line of figures dedicated to the live action movies. Think of it as "Generations", but for the movies only. Now thanks to TFCN on Facebook we now have a first clear look at one of these figures!

Packaged in a box style similar to recent "Generations" figures, these photos feature Bumblebee as he first appeared in the 2007 Transformers film. This appears to be a new sculpt which represents the character more accurately than the figures which were released a decade ago. Some interesting notes from these pics:

  • The packaging features both the Hasbro and Takara Tomy logos prominently in the front, making it likely this release will be used in both countries.
  • The transformation has 22 steps, indicating a very "Generations" level of complexity.
  • A backdrop will be included with the figure for display.
  • Deluxe Class Stinger, Crowbar and Ratchet are all listed on the back as cosells.

It is likely these figures will be shown at Hasbro's showroom during Toy Fair 2017 on February 17 and BWTF will be there to bring you coverage. Stay tuned!
