Sunday morning reviews: Autobot Ratchet and "Revenge of the Fallen" Jetfire

This Sunday morning brings you reviews from two ends of the Transformers spectrum. First up is a character from the beginnings of the Transformers line in a new form: Universe 2.0 Autobot Ratchet! Next up is a Legends version of a character from this summer's "Revenge of the Fallen" movie: Jetfire. Check out both reviews as you munch on your breakfast cereal.

"Revenge of the Fallen" Legends Class Optimus Prime reviewed

For this year's live action Transformers adventure, Optimus Prime returns in many forms including a small Legends Class figure. Legends Class Optimus Prime's review includes photos of him combined with Legends Class Jetfire, check it out!

June 11th

Photos of "Revenge of the Fallen" Robot Heroes "Battle of the Fallen" set

BWTF has obtained images of an upcoming boxed set of the "Battle of the Fallen" set. What's neat is that this set features a large scale figure, one of the first in the Transformers Robot Heroes line. It also features Megatron in tank mode, Optimus Prime combined with Jetfire and Ironhide in vehicle mode.

No word yet on whether these will be a store exclusive, but it is likely since the sets from the first movie were exclusives.

Transformers Animated Samurai Prowl Reviewed

When Prowl wanted to take on the Decepticons by himself, he upgraded with a suit of armor that formed a sidecar. This plot point has taken on action figure form as Samurai Prowl! Read the review for Samurai Prowl to see if you'll want this guy added to your Autobot forces!

Michael Bay, Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox premiere "Revenge of the Fallen" in Korea

Hot on the heels of its Tokyo, Japan debut, "Revenge of the Fallen" has premiered in Korea. Director Michael Bay and stars Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox were on hand to celebrate this event. You can see pictures from the premiere on Just Jared.

IMAX Transformers vs. Harry Potter in IMAX?

MTV Movie Blog reports that the extended cut of "Revenge of the Fallen" in IMAX has partially pushed the much anticipated "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" out of part of its IMAX run. Says the article “Fallen”’s month-long IMAX run overlaps with “Potter”’s July 12 release, which was itself pushed back from an originally planned November 2008 opening..

Transformers Animated Sunstorm reviewed

Tonight's reviews hail from the world of "Transformers Animated" and Target with the Target exclusive Sunstorm and Autobot Ratchet two pack. The Ratchet figure is a re-release of the Activators Ratchet, but Sunstorm is a whole new color scheme on the Voyager Class Starscream! Take a look at the review for Animated Sunstorm here!

"Revenge of the Fallen" Legends Class Bumblebee Toy Reviewed

He was the breakout character of 2007. After years of relative obscurity, Bumblebee rocketed back into the public consciousness with his action packed role in the first Transformers film. LG Versa commercial features Transformers

As part of a promotional tie in, the LG Versa phone has been featured in a commercial along with Optimus Prime. In the commercial, a man tries to convince Optimus Prime that his phone is not a Decepticon, but rather just a machine with diverse capabilities. Optimus is voiced by Peter Cullen and we get to see the LG Versa "transform" several times!

Shia LaBeouf talks about the rough and tumble world of filming "Revenge of the Fallen"

Last year, it was made public that despite a serious hand injury, "Transformers" star Shia LaBeouf continued filming his scenes, and the writers went so far as to integrate his injury into the storyline. A recent Associated Press interview reveals other injuries he suffered including hurting his knee, back and eye!
